Taking the helm as Dockside's newest skipper, is Kevin Davis. No newcomer to Depoe Bay Kevin grew up spending summers on his Dad's commercial boat. He's a lifelong fishing fanatic. From fresh water lakes, rivers and the ocean; he brings a wide variety of experience and techniques to catch fish. Kevin is a light tackle advocate whenever possible. An independent operator since 2008, he came to us wanting to spend more time doing what he loves, fishing! With his easy going personality and a never quit attitude, Kevin strives to fill his guests coolers with the best grade of fish possible! His 6-man boat, the Chum Bucket, is a 33 foot Bertram Sportfisher. Designed for offshore fishing and reliability, she's very comfortable in less than ideal water. Kevin has newer Furuno electronics including sonar, radar, GPS, and autopilot. The Chum Bucket is equipped with all required USCG safety equipment. With twin turbo-charged Caterpillar 3208 diesels, the Chum Bucket is capable of speeds up to 28 knots. Kevin considers himself a bit of a throttle jockey, when the ocean allows. He likes to power up and get to the fishing grounds quickly, preferably offshore. Whether it's Salmon, Bottomfish, Halibut, or Tuna, Kevin works hard to find and catch fish.
