2026 salmon season comes to an end

The ocean salmon season for 2026 came to an end today and it was a great day for four Dockside Charter salmon boats this morning as three for sure limited and the other no report but it had a whole bunch of fish as well. This has been the best salmon season we have had in many a year and we look forward to another good season in 2027.
Season Info:
*Daily bag limit 4 fish per angler
*Yelloweye and Quillback rockfish prohibited at all times in all waters
*Canary daily sub-bag rockfish of 2 fish per angler
*Fishing open all depths year around
*Cabezon prohibited until 1 fish sub bag limit beginning July 1st-minimum length 16 inches- Lingcod bag limit 3 fish per angler minimum length 22 .inches
*Flatfish bag limit 25 fish per angler
*Longleader fishing offshore outside 40 fathom regulators line-10 fish per angler-some specie restrictions do apply on this fishery do exist so check all ODFW regulations for this fishery.
HALIBUT SEASONS

Fishing Report: 09/11/2026
Tomorrow, Saturday September 12th is the final day of the Coho salmon season. You still can fish on a 2-fish limit for chinook salmon. Today's results were mixed with the bite not being as it has been but still pretty good with lots of action. At least one fish per rod was about the norm.
The bottom fishing started out slowly but most of the boats with hard work came back in with good scores. No word on the crab results today this far.

Salmon season closes Saturday night
Fishing Report: 09/10/2026
Effective Saturday, September 12, 2026, at 11:59PM, the recreational fishery from Cape Falcon to Humbug Mountain is closed to the retention of coho salmon. The season remains open for all salmon except coho (Chinook salmon, 24” minimum length) with a daily bag limit of two salmon..
There are two days left to catch a Coho salmon so call our office for any reservations remaining for these final two days.
