Fishing Report: 06/08/2026
Had two boats out today on an ocean that looked like it was flat calm when they left the docks at 6am but was suppose to turn into a gale warning with heavy rain at 11am. The weather warning rested another hour till about noon and allowed the Samson and the Surfrider to have a pretty nice ocean to fish in between a few rain squalls. The Samson came home with a limit of rockfish and did really well on an improving crab catch with five of those critters per-person. The Surfrider came close on the rockfish catch and added 15 Lingcod on the boat as well as 4 crabs pert person. Tomorrow folks is a day off due to a predicted rough ocean. Hope we will be back on the water Wednesday.

*Fishing open all depths year around
*Cabezon prohibited until 1 fish sub bag limit beginning July 1st-minimum length 16 inches- Lingcod bag limit 3 fish per angler minimum length 22 inches
*Flatfish bag limit 25 fish per angler
*Longleader fishing offshore outside 40 fathom regulators line-10 fish per angler-some specie restrictions do apply on this fishery do exist so check all ODFW regulations for this fishery.

Fishing has been really good the past few days with some Lingcod mixed in on every boat. The good news cf the past few days has been the female crabs are beginnings to go elsewhere and the males are starting to show up in good numbers.

Excellent bite on the rockfish this morn ing and great quality

Crabbing might be picking up for summer as the three boats out today bottom fishing all had 4 plus crabs per person participating which is pretty much as good as it has been so far this year. The bottom fishing was excellent on the rockfish side with limits around the fleet and the quality (size) was really terrific. The Lingcod bite this morning was fair at the best.
We still have two vessels still out on the Halibut fishing grounds and we will get that information to you as soon as it is available.
